PROCESS & PLANNING

Congratulations! If you just need to order a bouquet, a few pieces or something small for your event, feel free to call in or walk into the store, or hop on our Event Floral page to place that order – anyone can help.
If you’d like to sit down with a designer for pricing and long term planning, here’s the process:
Give us your info: Start by filling out our online inquiry form. This form allows us to get the information we need to start the process.
We’ll set up a consultation: A floral designer will then reach out to you to set up a consultation. This is a time for you and your florist to sit down and discuss your event in depth, letting us get to know you, your color palate, vision, style logistical needs for your big day. We can meet in store, virtually, or on site. (Some tips for your initial consultation below.)
You’ll receive a design and pricing: You will then receive a proposal and mood board which will give you a more accurate view of pricing specific to your event. Revisions can be made with your designer to target the price and look you want.
Secure your event: Once you agree upon a floral package with your designer, you will need to secure the date with a 50% pre-payment and signed Floral Contract Payment is required in full two weeks prior to event.
On the big day: When the big day arrives, Cactus & Tropicals’ team of talented production florists will take care of it all, whether that be installing floral at your venue, bringing personal flowers to your vehicle, pinning boutonnieres, and placing cake flowers. (All previously confirmed with your designer.)

Yes! if you know what you are looking for and do not need any installation florals or on-site set up, our florists will be happy to assist you over the phone or in the greenhouse.

We recommend booking your floral appointment once you have your date, venue, theme/colors and wedding party confirmed (if applicable). This is recommended as we will be customizing florals based on season, venue and number of participants.

Bring anything that inspires you! Photos of bouquets you love, swatches of your linens, colors, or photos of your venue, etc. are all great items to bring. This helps us get to know you, see what your unique style is and to understand exactly what you are looking for. Don’t have any ideas or items to bring? That’s ok! We have plenty of inspiration to offer!

Less is more! We recommend one or two guests. Select from a few people who you know will help you organize your vision and be helpful in the planning process. This gives you a chance to create a clear idea of what you are looking for with your designer. We’ll send your floral package design in an easy format to share with your friends and family after the appointment.

Yes! You can shop directly for wedding flowers from our website offerings or we can theme your florals based on one of our website bouquets. If you need to make some small adjustments to our online themes and would prefer to talk with one of our florists, we can help make it your own.
If you are looking for something more customized and know you need more than what is offered online, please fill out our Inquiry form with as much info as possible and a designer will be in touch.

Yes! Please bring one of these to your consult or when ordering so we can quote you appropriately for a design. We do not wash containers, remove any labels or add liners. Containers must be watertight. We’ll need all containers for the event dropped off one week ahead of time. It is also helpful to provide an extra container in case of damage or breakage.

Yes, we can! However, please note that this is not always a cost-efficient or environmentally efficient option. We also offer dried arrangements in an array of styles and colors.

We offer just about anything you can think of! We have a rental inventory of multiple arbors, lanterns, votives and much more available. These items can be added in to your floral package pricing and design to rent. We will also assist in sourcing items from other vendors as needed to bring your look together.

Yes, we can create any mock-ups you may want to see in advance for an additional cost. Some things to keep in mind when requesting a sample: Each arrangement is unique, so no two will ever be the same. Also, flowers depend on the season, so if we create a mock-up in Summer for your Fall event, different elements may be used to create the same look. It is our goal to provid

Your flowers will be a curated version of all those images combined. We ask that you trust us to create something beautiful based on what we show you or what you have shown us. Please give us the flexibility to be creative, use in season blooms, and substitute when we see something beautiful, and you will receive the best of what we have to offer! We promise we keep your style and requests in mind when making all decisions regarding your flowers.

No! We do not require a minimum budget to work with us. We do offer different levels of customization to create something at every price point.

Yes, Delivery costs are based off the zip code of your venue. Additional costs are all based around the time needed to complete the installation and the complexity of the event. These costs will be outlined in your quote.

Yes! Venue walk throughs can be extremely beneficial when creating the look and feel of your event. A consultation fee may be applicable. Our designers are very familiar with most venues in the area and may already have a good idea of exactly what the space includes.

We have an entire team of extremely talented florists who work as a group to make sure every detail for your wedding is perfect. They receive the floral design and order from your designer. You can always reach out to your designer for any reason, but we work hard to keep our whole team up to date on the details of every event.

We sure hope so! – its up to you! We love getting links from our couples with their photography so we can create blog posts, social media content, and basically just swoon over your big day. We enjoy finding new photographers in Utah and happily share their work with permission and reference to their company.
